Thoughts on Affiilate Marketing for Beginners

Just signed up with Copyblogger.  Will test the waters and let you know what it’s all about.  Took in the teleseminar and read chapters 1&2 that came in with the freebie.  Nothing revolutionary but it all makes sense.  It’s all about partnering and how to go about it online.

I’ve worked start ups in my past so getting going in business doesn’t change much in certain ways.  Pre planning, market research, legal, accounting, tax planning etc are all part of the process.  Internet Marketing has it’s own set of unique challenges…software, keyword research,SEO,niche selection, writing, partnering online etc…There are no barriers to entry, but the business is much more sophisticated and competitive than the pitch masters let on.

You don’t want to leave your day job if you are just starting out.  There is too much to learn about. It isn’t that it can’t be done, it’s just that you have to learn a critical mass of stuff and that can vary from person to person.

This campaign is all about how to go about putting together a team of people with whom you can develop a business.  It’s also about learning how to create multiple partnerships over time.  These partnerships come and go with the product and services that are offered over time.  Anyway, there is a lot of ground to cover and you need to find the right people to help you cover it.

So we are going to see how things turn out.  It’s exciting and I can’t wait to get started.

May Your Travels Be Prosperous
